UPDATED: Woman Is Shot/Robbed Near ELB Traffic Circle (PCH/Ximeno, CD4/Supernaw)

(Sept. 29. 2021) -- A woman was robbed at gunpoint and shot/wounded last night (Sept. 28) near ELB's Traffic Circle in on PCH near Ximeno Ave. (CD 4/Supernaw).

LBPD overnight Watch Commander Lt. Paul Esko says that on September 28, 2021 at about 10:30pm, a woman (adult) was robbed at gunpoint by two male suspects near the 4500 block of Pacific Coast Highway [just west of Ximeno.]

During the robbery, the victim was shot by one of the suspects.

UPDATE from LBPD PIO Brandon Fahey: The woman said she was sitting in her parked vehicle and two unknown male suspects robbed her at gunpoint, taking her wallet. [end UPDATE]

The woman was transported to a local hospital where she is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The suspects fled the scene on foot. The investigation is on-going.

Supernaw's CD 4 has had a number of shootings but mostly west of the Traffic Circle. On Sept. 16, a man (adult) was shot/wounded, and a woman (adult) was uninjured as they walked in an alley in the 1600 block of Junipero Ave. (just south of PCH.)

On Sept 5, a no-person-hit shooting occurred in the 1100 block of Obispo Ave. (one block west of Redondo, two blocks south of Anaheim.)
