(Sept. 4, 2021, 5:20 a.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that last night (Sept 3) at about 10:05 p.m., LBPD responded to reports of a possible shooting in Belmont Shore in the area of Roycroft Ave./Ocean Blvd. (CD 3/Price).

LBPD overnight Watch Commander Lt. Shaleana Benson says (initial information) that officers located a parked vehicle struck by gunfire. No injured parties were located.

Lt. Benson says witnesses in the area said a man (adult) was see fleeing the area on foot while holding a firearm.

The motive is unknown and LBPD's investigation is ongoing.

LBREPORT.com is mindful that incidents like this sometimes turn out to be BB guns or the like...but as of predawn Sept. 4 from initial PD information there's no indication of that here. Further as we learn it.
