Ben E. King, Lead Singer For "The Drifters" (Save the Last Dance for Me) And Solo (Stand By Me)

(May 1, 2015) -- Another voice from the musical soundtrack of baby boomers' lives is gone.

Ben E. King, lead singer with the Drifters ("Save The Last Dance For Me" "There Goes My Baby," "This Magic Moment" and "Sweets for My Sweet") and then his solo classic -- "Stand By Me" -- is gone.

Yes, the songs had beautiful lyrics, but they were made unforgetable by Mr. King's emotional and elegant renditions.
