See LB Playhouse Performance & Help Friends of LB Animals Help Homeless Animals
(April 5, 2010) -- Friends of LB Animals -- LB's volunteer run (not paid staff) non-profit animal advocacy/spay/neuter group -- is holding its annual (and very popular) Benefit for the Animals at The Long Beach Playhouse on April 22...where tickets are provided as a community service (by McKenzie Mortuary, thank you) at multiple ticket pick-up locations (listed below) with a Donation Request of $25 per ticket.
Tickets for this annual event usually quickly, so don't delay. This year's performance is Agatha Christie's "The Hollow," described as: "An unhappy game of romantic follow-the-leader explodes into murder one weekend at an English country estate. Enjoy the twists and turns of this engaging Agatha Christie tale of infidelity, suspicion and intrigue as directed by Neno Pervan."
FOLBA will also honor LB Animal Services Director John Keisler as its 2010 Hero to Animals.
Proceeds will benefit FoLBA's many activities, including its successful SNIP program (Spay/Neuter Incentive Program) which pays for spaying and neutering dogs and cats and has prevented the deaths of countless animals who'd otherwise be euthanized or subjected to cruelty).
The group also conducts humane education efforts (its classes have been certified by LBUSD), promotes adoptions of homeless animals...and helps pay special medical bills for animals in the care of LB Animal Care services.
The group's April 22 LB Playhouse event includes a 6:30 p.m. reception followed by a 7:30 p.m. performance.
Tickets are available ($25 donation request per ticket) at:
