(April 29, 2015) -- A thief and/or thieves broke into an ATM machine outside a Belmont Shore business before dawn today (April 29) and made off with an unknown amount of currency. LBPD Public Information Officer Nancy Pratt) confirms that an ATM machine outside a business in the 5300 block of E. 2nd St. was broken into. The Belmont Shore Business Association has separately identified the business in an emailed alert this afternoon (April 29) as Riley's Pub and Grill. [Scroll down for further.] |
BSBA says the ATM break-in occurred at about 3:30 a.m. LBPD PIO Nancy Pratt says officers responded at about 5:00 a.m. to check onthe location and saw that a freestanding ATM machine on the outside of the business had been broken into.
LBPD says the machine is independently owned and initially, no ownership information could be found on the machine. The amount of currency taken is currently unknown. LBPD says video evidence is being collected from the business [Scroll down for further.]
