(Dec. 8, 2015) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that a light plane that took off from Long Beach Airport this morning (Dec. 8) on its way to Montgomery Field in San Diego declared an emergency and made an emergency landing on a field on the south side of the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station.

FAA Pacific Division Public Affairs Mgr. Ian Gregor tells LBREPORT.com that the plane (identifier N932AC) was a Cessna 400 (a fixed wing, single engine aircraft); the emergency was declared for unknown reasons, neither of the two people abaord were injured...and there was no damage to the plane.

An FAA online database (which allows a search of the plane's numerical identifier) indicates the registered owner is Sotto International of Tulsa, Oklahoma (whose website indicates its a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that owns "nonprofit healthcare companies that supply superb care for our terminally ill patients."

Yes, the FAA will investigate.
