LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Bradley Johnson tells LBREPORT.com that at about 3:45 a.m., officers responded to a shots-call in the area of Cedar Ave./W. 9th St (Willmore City); arriving officers located a suspicious vehicle leaving the area; the vehicle allegedly failed to yield and a short pursuit ensued during which the suspect allegedly backed into and rammed on eof the pursuing LBPD vehicles.
The suspicious vehicle was subsequently involved in a collision near 20th St./Cedar Ave. and the suspect fled on foot. LBPD set up a containment perimeter and activated SWAT.
At about 6:45 a.m., a male juvenile was detained and subsequently arrested (a LB resident.) He was booked at the LBPD Juvenile facility on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, auto theft, felony evading, hit and run and resisting arrest.
