(Jan. 26, 2016, updated 6:30 a.m. from 5:45 a.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has confirmed our earlier report that at least two people, perhaps three, were stabbed overnight [in the 2 a.m. hour] in the area of 4th St./Almond Ave.

LBPD Watch Commander John Kenaley tells LBREPORT.com that at least two people were taken to hospitals; a suspect isn't in custody and this doesn't appear to be a gang involved crime (it appears to be a fight that escalated.)

The North Alamitos Beach neighborhood saw/heard overnight police activity. Shortly before 3 a.m., LBPD issued an advisory indicating that 4th St. (east and westbound between Almond to Nebraska) was closed for roughly three hours.

Further as we learn it.
