(Jan. 25, 2017) -- A man walked into a LB hospital this afternoon with a gunshot wound, about 45 minutes after police were dispatched to the area of Long Beach Blvd./56th St. regarding a possible shooting at an occupied vehicle.

Initial information is sketchy and what took place is under investigation.

LBPD Public Information Officer Marlene Arrona tells LBREPORT.com that on Jan. 25, 2017 at roughly 4:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Long Beach Blvd./56th Street regarding a possible shooting at an occupied vehicle. Arriving officers searched the area but didn't locate any injured parties or damaged property...and at roughly 5:00 p.m., a man (adult) arrived at a local hospital with an apparent gunshot wound (which appeared to be non-life-threatening.)

LBPD's investigation remains ongoing to determine if the two occurrences are related.
