Here's List Of Incumbents/Challengers For April 2018 LB Elections

Council incumbent Gonzalez, City Auditor, City Att'y, City Prosecutor have no filed opponents

(Jan. 13, 2018, 9:35 a.m.) -- The City Clerk's office indicates that no Long Beach residents filed papers to challenge the re-election of 1st district City Councilmember Lena Gonzalez, City Auditor Laura Doud, City Attorney Charles Parkin or City Prosecutor Doug Haubert Auditor.

LB's April 10 election ballot candidates are:

  • Mayor: Incumbent Robert Garcia; challenger James Henry "Henk" Conn

  • Council district 3: Incumbent Suzie Price; challengers Gordana Kajer and Robert D. Savin

  • Council district 5: Incumbent Stacy Mungo; challengers Corliss Lee, Rich Dines and John W. Osborn II

  • Council district 7: Incumbent Roberto Uranga; challengers Oscar S. Delacruz, Jared Milrad, Kevin C. Shin, and Chris Sereno

  • Council district 9: Incumbent Rex Richardson: challenger Mineo L. Gonzalez

In races with three or more April candidates, if no candidate receives over 50% of votes cast in April, the top two finishers proceed to a runoff in June.
