(July 25, 2016) -- A multi-car collision at Palo Verde Ave./Carson St. (Lakewood/LB border) on Monday morning (July 25) drew responding units from L.A. County Fire and Long Beach Fire and paramedic units.

We don't have immediate details. We saw LBFD units leaving the scene without sirens (a good sign) and LASD's Lakewood station Watch Commander indicated that as of 9 a.m. she hadn't received notification of serious injuries.

LBFD later indicated on its Twitter feed that it had used the Jaws of Life and transported two persons with critical injuries.
