(July 6, 2016, 9:05 p.m.) -- LBREPORT.com will carry LIVE VIDEO as FBI Director James Comey testifies before the House Oversight and Government Committee. The VIDEO will be on LBREPORT.com's front page -- www.LBREPORT.com -- starting at roughly 7 a.m. Thursday July 7.. [Local note: one of the Committee members is Congressman Ted Lieu (D, southbay-WLA).]
The action comes after FBI Director Comey issued a statement on July 5 -- to which LBREPORT.com provides the full text here -- itemizing examples of what he called "extremely careless" actions by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in using a personal/private email server(s) to store/send classified information. [Mrs. Clinton subsequently deleted roughly 30,000 emails from her server(s), not available to investigators, that she said weren't work related or classified.] After reading his statement, FBI Director Comey exited without taking reporters' questions. A day later (July 6), Attorney General Loretta Lynch issued a short statement indicating that consistent with the FBI's recommendation, she won't be filing criminal charges against Mrs. Clinton. On June 30, Attorney General Lynch met privately with former President Bill Clinton in what she described as a chance meeting when both their planes were at Phoenix Airport. The meeting lasted roughly thirty minutes and Attorney General Lynch emerged to say nothing related to Mrs. Clinton matter had been discussed. [Scroll down for further.] |
Meanwhile. Senate Judiciary Committee chair Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) has indicated that Attorney General Loretta Lynch will testify next Tuesday (July 14] before his Committee regarding Clinton's email practices, as well as Bill Clinton's June meeting with Attorney General Lynch.

NationalReview.com, a conservative publication, has carried a widely cited piece by Andrew McCarthy, titled "FBI Rewrites Federal Law to Let Hillary Off the Hook" by Andrew McCarthy." Mr. McCarthy is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, who led the 1995 terrorism prosecution against Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman and eleven others convicted of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He's now a contributing editor of National Review.
