Truck's Load Snags Communications Wires On Temple Offramp From N-405, Sending Wires Onto Both Sides Of Fwy Below; LBFD Handles It

(July 7, 2017, 5:50 p.m. from earlier front page coverage) -- Shortly before 10:30 a.m. today (July 7), truck hauling a large storage tank snagged communications wires on the Temple Ave. offramp from the northbound 405 freeway...and the wires fell onto both the northbound and souhtbound sides of the 405 freeway below.

LBREPORT.com was on-scene within minutes and has video and photo coverage as LBFD creatively removed the downed wires.

Traffic was backed up in both directions for at least an hour. Communications (LBFD says related to Spectrum) was affected in parts of Long Beach.
