(June 18, 2012) -- Wrigley area residents tell LBReport.com that LBPD West Division officers conducted a serious search on Friday night (June 15) extending into the midnight hour Saturday (June 16) in the area south of Willow St. on Earl Ave.

LBPD says that officers were in the 2500 block of Earl on Friday night "after a wanted person ran from officers at about 10:40 pm. There was a perimeter set up but he was not located." [Sorry, no immediate information from PD on why the person was wanted.]

Area residents say a helicopter circled overhead until about 1 a.m. and some residents were asked to leave their homes and apartment backyards while officers searched.
