(June 20, 2015) -- Did you see it? As previewed on LBREPORT.com and reported on our front page, Long Beach (and likely L.A. and OC areas) had a bright, clear view of the International Space Station during a roughly four and a half minute window on Friday night June 19 (eight second time exposure below.) The spacecraft, traveling at roughly 17,200 mph, rose in the NW sky shortly after 9:18 p.m.,climbed to an elevation of 72 degrees at about 9:22 p.m....and headed into the SE sky where it disappeaed at about 9:24 p.m. Max Pearl (age 15) captured an eight-second open-shutter image as the Space Station was overhead.
