| (June 1, 2018, 7:15 p.m.) -- Proponents of a toughly worded Long Beach rent control/just cause eviction ordinance failed to submit initiative petition signatures by the close of business today (June 1) which was the deadline for their measure to qualify for placement on a LB citywide ballot at the same time as CA's November 2018 statewide general election.
