LBPD Arrrests Two Additional Suspects In 2011 Murder of Alleged Marijuana Distributor

(March 5, 2011) -- LBPD has announced the arrest of two additional suspects in connection with the March, 2011 LB murder of Phillip Victor Williamson, 29, of Los Angeles, who was found shot in an alley in the 1500 block of Pine Ave.
LBPD says Mr. Williamson was involved in distributing marijuana that he obtained in Chico (northern CA) to L.A. County area medical marijuana collectives. "Based on the investigation, LBPD detectives believe Mr. Williamson's murder was orchestrated for the purpose of robbing him. LBPD arrested two individuals in July 2011 in connection with the murder (previously reported by LBReport.com) but sought additional suspects. In a release today (Mar. 5, 2012), LBPD announced that its detectives on LBPD's Career Criminal Apprehension Team arrested two additional suspects in connection with the murder: Kenneth Ray Johnson, 36, and Charles Anthony Mackbee, 42, both of Long Beach were arrested at roughly 10:00 a.m. at their homes withour incident, LBPD says...and adds that suspect Charles Anthony Mackbee (arrested Mar. 5, 2012) and another suspect, Marcel Mackabee (arrested July 29, 2011 in connection with the murder) are cousins. Today (Mar. 5), the LA County DA's office charges suspects Johnson and Mackbee each with one count of murder.
