Kindee Durkee, Campaign Treasurer For Multiple Dem Incumbents, Candidates & Liberal Causes, Pleads Guilty In Fed'l Court To Massive Embezzlement Scheme; Read Plea Agreement

One of her actions touched Bob Foster's campaign account for 2014 State Treasurer (no wrongoing by Foster; one her actions swept part of one item into his campaign account)

(Mar. 30, 2012) -- Kindee Durkee, a campaign treasurer used mainly by Democrat incumbents, candidates and liberal political causes, entered a guilty plea today (Mar. 30) in a Sacramento federal courtroom, admitting to embezzlements that defrauded her clients and caused losses estimated at $7 million to $20 million, and involving at least 10 and possibly over 50 victims.

At one point, one of Mr. Durkee's actions swept Mayor Bob Foster's 2014 campaign account for State Treasurer momentarily into the mess (with no wrongdoing by Foster or his campaign, caught up in the action).

The "Factual Basis for the Plea" (acknowledged by Ms. Durkee in her plea agreement as accurate) lists multiple actions, including Ms. Durkee's misappropriation $80,000 from two checks to "National Popular Vote" to be deposited to to the Durkee and Associates account...and the deposit was then used to cover various items that included a $1,000 item to the Foster for State Treasurer 2014 campaign (again: no wrongdoing by Foster in this). The major victims of Durkee's embezzlements included political accounts for U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, Assemblyman Jose Solorio, state Senator Lou Correa and National Popular Vote.
