(Mar. 15, 2014) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that a man was shot on Friday night (Mar. 14) in the area of Paramount Blvd./65th St.

LBPD Public Information Officer Nancy Pratt tells LBREPORT.com that officers responded at about 9:40 p.m. to the area 2800 block of E. 65th St. and found a man (adult) with a gunshot wound; he was transported to a hospital by LBFD paramedics with what appeared to be a non-life-threatening injury.

LBPD is investigating what took place as possibly gang related. LBPD asks anyone with information about what happened to contact LBPD's Gang Enforcement Section at (562) 570-7330.
