(Mar. 9, 2016) -- Two men (adults) were shot on Tuesday night (Mar. 8) in the 3100 block of South St. (near Obispo Ave.) in Lakewood. LASD initial information is sketchy.

LASD says the shooting occurred Mar. 8 at about 8:51 p.m.; when deputies arrived, family members told them that two of their relatives had been transported to a hospital to be treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

There's no suspect description at this point; the suspect(s) fled west on South St. in a white vehicle.

LASD says (Mar. 9) it's investigating and the shooting appears to be gang related.
