(May 15, 2012, updated 8:31 p.m.) -- LBReport.com has learned and confirmed that an application seeking conceptual site plan review [not a request for formal entitlements] has been submitted to LB Development Services for consideration and city staff feedback regarding the 2nd St./PCH (Seaport Marina Hotel) site.

LBReport.com has further learned and confirmed that the concept submitted is for retail.

8:31 p.m. UPDATE: Asked by LBReport.com for any quotable comments, Councilman Gary DeLong emails, "I haven't seen the plan, but it is my understanding that it meets all of SEADIP’s zoning rules and will not require any variances. However, regardless of this project application, the City will be moving forward to engage the public in a SEADIP update process."
