(May 30, 2014, 12:05 p.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that shots were fired at midmorning today (Fri. May 30) in the 700 block of Rose Ave. (2nd Council district), and a parked, unoccupied vehicle was hit by the gunfire.

LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Megan Zabel tells LBREPORT.com (early information) that at about 10:14 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Rose Ave. regarding a shooting.

There are no reports of any person injured.,,but a parked unoccupied vehicle was struck by gunfire

Gang detectives responded to the scene and LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
