Bike riders will find valet bicycle parking available.

Here's just some of what Friends of LB Animals does [FoLBA website text]:
SNIP (Spaying/Neutering): In 2013, we paid $3,234 for the spaying/neutering of 140 animals (47 cats and 93 dogs). Over the past 15-1/2 years, we have paid $740,492 for the spaying/neutering of 9,609 cats, 7,122 dogs, 118 rabbits and one hamster (16,803 animals in total since July 1, 1998). You and we are preventing millions of animals from being born, only to be euthanized or subjected to cruelty.
Humane Education: In 2001, Long Beach Unified School District certified our humane education classes. Since that time, 55,255 students have participated in this program free to the schools, at Friends’ expense of $172,939. In 2013 the tally was $16,740 for 8,675 students.
Adoptions: We have rescued and placed many homeless pets in 2013 out of Bixby Animal Clinic on Atlantic Ave., Parkview Pet Hospital, Paw Shoppe and also out of the shelter. Over the years we have been able to adopt out a total of 320 rescued cats, dogs and rabbits for placement into permanent, loving homes. In view of the fact that we are not a rescue organization, but a spay/neuter and humane education organization, this is a great accomplishment. We paid $3,746 in adoption expenses to further our adoption goals.
Special Medical Bills for Shelter Animals and General Shelter Assistance: We provided $1,461 for life-saving medicine and vet care for special needs of pets in the care of Long Beach Animal Care Services. We have provided Kuranda Beds, Kitty fleece beds, kitty woofle balls and toys to provide fun and comfort for shelter dogs and cats. We continue to provide Rymidal so no animal has to suffer with pain while impounded, and Advantage and Frontline to keep pets free of fleas while in the care of Animal Care Services. In addition, we continue to support the needs of "Tippy," a canine who arrived at the shelter with a shattered leg, beyond repair. We also provided funds for memorial garden supplies, a microchip clinic during BE KIND TO ANIMALS week and conference expense for Animal Control Officers and staff.
Community Events: Veterans Parade, Belmont Shore Christmas Parade and many vendor events throughout Long Beach and Signal Hill.
