(Nov. 25, 2015) -- Some City provided services stop on Thursday or Friday, BUT LBREPORT.com will stay up and updating content for you (and we thank YOU for your readership and support!)

Here's city service info:

Yes, trash and recyclables WILL be collected as normal on Thursday, November 26, and Friday, November 27.

No street sweeping or street sweeping enforcement parking tickets on Thursday or Friday BUT see below re meters.

Re Parking Meters [city release text]: "Read your parking meter. New smart parking meters in Long Beach display days and hours of operations -- and also when they are exempt -- on large backlit screens. Parking meters and all infractions, including time limits at colored curbs, will be enforced as usual on Friday, November 27."

[City release text] "On Small Business Saturday -- November 28 -- a parking meter holiday will provide free on-street parking in Downtown Long Beach. During the parking meter holiday, two-hour limits for on-street meter parking will remain in effect, along with time limits at colored curbs. Free on-street parking is also available at The Pike Outlets and in Belmont Shore on Small Business Saturday."
