(Nov. 24, 2016) -- Don't pour that Thanksgiving cooking fat/oil/grease ("FOG") down your sink or toilet...when you can recycle it -- free -- at EDCO's Buyback center in Signal Hill.
EDCO states on its website that you can "simply collect used discarded FOG in a leak-proof container and drop it off at free of charge at EDCO's Signal Hill location -- 2755 California Avenue -- Tuesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (but closed Thanksiving Day.) It will be ultimately processed, filtered and converted into biodiesel by a third party processor. CAVEAT: EDCO says don't mix FOG with any other oils, such as motor oil or gear oil (that will inhibit the process of converting the FOG into biodisesel.) |
