[UPDATED] On Oct. 23, LBPD issued a release regarding the collision: On Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at approximately 1:33 P.M. officers from the Long Beach Police Department responded to Cherry Avenue and 33rd Street regarding an injury traffic collision. (Initial information Oct. 22) -- LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Megan Zabel says LB police and firefighters responded to the scene at about 1:33 p.m. today. The injured woman was transported to a hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased. A man was also transported to a hospital; he was reported in stable condition. small> LBPD's Collision Investigatoins Detail was on-scene and its investigation is ongoing, PIO Zabel said. LBPD asks anyone who witnessed this collision or has any information regarding what took place to contact the Collision Investigations Detail at (562) 570-7355.
