Did You See It? As Promised, Int'l Space Station Was Visible Early Evening Tues. (Oct. 7)


(Oct. 8, 2014, 1:52 a.m.) -- As promised, the International Space Station was visible from Long Beach at early evening Tuesday (Oct. 7), details below.


(Oct. 7, 2014, 10:58 a.m.) -- If the skies stay clear into early evening, Long Beach (and points south) should get a bright view of the International Space Station just after 7:00 p.m. (details below.).

The spacecraft should become visible in the SW sky a little after 7:03 p.m., rising to a height of 76 degrees (90 degrees would be straight up) shortly before 7:07 p.m. and then head into the NE sky and disappearing at about 7:10 p.m.

As of Tuesday morning, the Nat'l Weather Service forecasts "mostly clear" skies.
