(Oct. 19, 2016) -- A public meeting on a six-figure, consultant-prepared Belmont Shore parking study will be held on Monday, October 24 at 6:00 p.m. at Councilwoman Suzie Price's district office at 340 Nieto Ave.

The Monday Oct. 24 parking study meeting is separate from a meeting the next day -- Tuesday, Oct. 25, 6:30 p.m. at Fire Station 14 (5200 Elliot Ave.) -- on a now-Council-budgeted, lane-erasing/traffic calming road diet with diagonal parking along a Belmont Shore portion of Ocean Blvd. [LBREPORT.com coverage of road diet/diagonal paking meeting at this link.]

The Belmont Shore parking study encompasses an area from Livingston Drive/The Toledo on the north, west of Bay Shore Ave., and includes beach parking lots.

The consultant's recommendations will presumably be used to create some type of parking management plan that would require Planning Commission and City Council approval.
