If You Believe City Gov't Transparency And Access To Public Records Are Important, Help LBREPORT.com Pursue This Story

(October 31, 2017, 7:10 a.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has reason to believe that Mayor Robert Garcia, and Councilmembers Lena Gonzalez, Jeannine Pearce, Suzie Price, Stacy Mungo, Dee Andrews, Roberto Uranga and Al Austin didn't produce records we requested over six weeks ago under the CA Public Records Act regarding SB 35.

Do you believe Mayor Garcia, who signed letters supporting SB 2 and SB 3 (part of the same Dem-leadership-backed package of housing bills), and Councilman Al Austin (who chairs the Council's "State Legislation Committee" and has said he's mulling a run for state Senate) had no communications with Sacramento lawmakers, or other Councilmembers, or city staff, or to/from the public regarding SB 35? Do you believe Councilwoman Stacy Mungo (who first denied, then carried water for city staff's position until residents erupted after mid-June-released updated density maps) had only one email on SB 35 from one constituent (that we received because the constituent cc'd it to the City Clerk)?

If you emailed Mayor Garcia or Councilmembers Gonzalez, Pearce, Price, Mungo, Andrews, Uranga or Austin regarding SB 35, please forward your email to us (along with whatever they said in response) to mail@lbreport.com. Thanks much. .
