(October 25, 2017, 5:11 p.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has obtained a copy of the L.A. County District Attorney's "Charge Evaluation Worksheet" that includes information and allegations not previously released including what LBPD and CHP officers found and did on scene, what the LBPD and DA's investigations found and the DA's office's basis for its decision declining to prosecute allegations of domestic battery and driving under the influence against Long Beach Councilwoman Jeannine Pearce.
The document was provided to LBREPORT.com following our request to the DA's office. We provide its salient narrative portions on a pdf link below. Redactions are by the DA's office. To view the salient narrative portions (pdf file), click here. Earlier today, as flashed (first again) by LBREPORT.com on our front page and Facebook page, LBPD issued a release indicating that it received the DA document on Oct. 20. LBPD also stated that the DA's office Public Integrity Division remains in the process of conducting a separate review of alleged inappropriate activity and conflicts of interests. A separate criminal complaint against Pearce's former Chief of Staff Devin Cotter for alleged public intoxication is still pending with the City Prosecutor. Further as it develops on LBREPORT.com |
