(Sept. 11, 2017, updated Sept. 12) -- Mayor Robert Garcia is in Lima, Peru with a delegation from the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee ("LA2028") for the expected vote by the International Olympic Committee scheduling the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles with some event venues in Long Beach.
