(Sept. 19, 2010) -- Fall is here and it is time once again to walk, run, stroll, promenade or just saunter for the animals. Friends of Long Beach Animals are having its annual walk with all the fun and good times as in past years. Here's the information and schedules: This event promotes life safety for pets and their people. Honorary walk-leaders are Nancy Foster (with Noah the First cat) and Blair Cohn, Executive Director of the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association. On this day you can not only walk your dog but help Long Beach animals too. There will be exhibits, agility demonstrations, vendors, Canine Companions for Independence, Therapy Dogs International, multicultural music and dancing and friendly fun for all. The funds raised will be used for FOLBA’s "SNIP" program, i.e., spaying and neutering pets to prevent unnecessary deaths of companion animals and will also fund education and help to Long Beach animals wherever and whenever they need it You don’t have to have a dog to attend, walk or run. Come and enjoy the day with us and the hundreds of wonderful animals you will meet. And oh yes! We still need volunteers to help with registration, set-up, the WALK itself and parking. If you would like to volunteer, please e-mail Nancy Lewis at nancylewisphn@yahoo.com> Please come and join us! Enjoy the day with your pets, with the people and please consider donating to the work of Friends of Long Beach Animals. The animals need all the help we can give them! SEE YOU AT THE PARK!
