(April 21, 2001) -- The Los Altos based Coastline Credit Union at 5555 Stearns St. (near Bellflower Blvd.) was the target of an attempted armed robbery on Saturday morning April 21.
LBPD told LBReport.com they received a telephone call at approximately 10:14 a.m. from one of the credit union tellers, who ran to a nearby business and called police.
Police say three male suspects entered the credit union with unknown-type weapons and attempted a robbery. There was no loss in the attempted robbery and the suspects fled. They were last seen in the area behind the Target store in the vicinity of 23rd St. and Marwick Ave.
No one is presently in custody.
