(April 17, 2004, initial posting @ 8:40 p.m.) -- LBPD spotted a Signal Hill murder suspect on Saturday April 17 at about 7:52 p.m...and when he failed to yield, a pursuit followed from the area of St. Louis/8th St. through central LB, eventually heading west on 7th St. where the suspect crashed into another vehicle at roughly 7:57 p.m.

Details are sketchy as we post. LBPD Public Information Officer Greg Schirmer says LBPD has taken the suspect into custody. Those in the other car were not transported to a hospital.
