(August 8, 2002) -- LBPD reports that a 23 year old LB resident, playing a video game while sitting on a sofa in the living room area of his home, was shot and killed through an open window.

Police say Alvin Parks was shot through an open window of a single family home in the 400 block of Sunset St. (8th Council district).

Police say the victim was only a few feet from the window. Four other family members at home at the time of the shooting were unharmed.

LBPD says three male Hispanic suspects were seen running from the area, westbound on 51st St. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call LBPD Homicide Detectives Steven Smith or Hector Nieves at (562) 570-7244.
