(August 9, 2002, posted at 7:20 p.m.) -- Following LBReport.com's article earlier today that reported the August 13 City Council item agendized by Councilmembers Rob Webb, Dennis Carroll and Tonia Reyes-Uranga requesting that the City Council pass a resolution encouraging federal, state and County lawmakers to "explore solutions" to this regional [aviation] problem which will include the feasibility of utilizing outlying airports in less residentially developed areas," Councilman Webb told LBReport.com early this evening that he plans to include in the motion a request that LB, Burbank and Los Angeles County work together for a regional solution to aviation growth that puts flights inland (including Ontario and Palmdale) where's there's capacity and they want them.
