  • (Aug. 15, 2009) -- LBReport.com provides on-demand access below to a city management memo dated Aug. 14 (7 pages with 20 pages of attachments) directed to Mayor Bob Foster and the City Council regarding Tesla Motors and LB City Hall's business attraction efforts.

The memo was provided to us by Mayor Bob Foster's Chief of Staff, Becki Ames, following-up on an Aug. 14 dispatch by Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske's on her internet journal (blog). LBReport.com reported Councilwoman Schipske's online dispatch and invited Mayoral/management comment.

The Mayor's comment is: "It simply is not appropriate for me to comment on the status of any negotiations between private parties. But quite frankly, political grandstanding makes any city less attractive to business and drives companies away."
