(December 22, 2002) -- LBPD is investigating an apparent double murder in the 800 block of E. South St. on the border of the 8th and 9th Council districts.

Police discovered two 19 year old LB residents, Richard Smith and Kendall Adams, both of Pacific Islander descent, slain in a house. Officers responded to a report of shots fired at a residence at 9:00 a.m. on December 21...but LBPD says it appears the two victims were killed during the immediately preceding overnight hours. They both suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
