Reuters: FAA Received Dozens Of Warnings Before 9/11 But Seemed More Concerned About Airport Congestion, Delays & "Safety," Report Discloses
(Feb. 10, 2005) -- The Federal Avation Administration (FAA) failed to respond to dozens of warnings a possible terrrorist attack -- including a suicide attack with a "spectacular explosion" -- prior to Sept. 11, 2001, telling air carriers and airports "we have no indication that any group is currently thinking in that direction." and seemed more concerned about airport congestion, delays and "safety," a previously undisclosed report by 9/11 Commission staff discloses.
