She'd been driving westbound on the Mole Road when the vehicle went into the water. |
PIO/BC Reeb says the driver got out of the vehicle on her own, swam to shore and was found by the Harbor Patrol officer. PIO/BC Reeb says she had minor injuries, including exposure to the cold water.

Although the woman reported she was alone, LBFD's Dive Team members dove into the submerged vehicle to ensure it was empty of occupants. Firefighters remained on scene until removal of the vehicle from the water was completed.
The Navy Mole Rd. runs along the former Navy Mole, a strange seaward hook around what used to be the western end of the LB Naval Station, which was to the west of the LB Naval Shipyard (both of which the Pentagon closed and gave to the City of LB...which handed them to its Port).
