(June 14, 2004) -- In the wake of a series of shootings and alarming crimes, capped the shooting and wounding of eight people in a single event on June 12, the Rose Park Neighborhood Association has scheduled a Town Hall meeting on Thursday, June 17 at 7 p.m. at Burbank Elementary School Auditorium

In a written release, Richard Green of the Rose Park Neighborhood Association says speakers are scheduled from the office of 2d district Councilmember Dan Baker, LB City Hall's office of Code Enforcement and LBPD.

"The seriousness of recent incidents, like the shooting of eight people in recent days, are cause for great concern among local residents," the release says.

Rose Park is bounded by St Louis St. on the west, Redondo Ave. on the east, 4th St. on the south and 10th street on the north.
