(March 10, 2004) -- Following-up on a story previously reported by LBReport.com, LBPD says that as a result of intense media coverage, its investigators received specific information from the public, officers located and arrested LBPD's suspect in a domestic violence shooting of a LB woman.
In a written release, LBPD says its Gang Detectives, along with the Domestic Violence Units, found the suspect in Apple Valley. Detectives were able to negotiate the surrender of Rudy Gonzalez, 24, of LB who was taken into custody on March 9.
Police allege that suspect Gonzalez shot his girlfriend on March 7 at her residence in the 1400 block of Chestnut Ave. in the presence of their 1 1/2 year-old son. She survived.
