Good News: LB "Critical Missing" Person Is Found

(May 8, 2002) -- LBReport.com is pleased to post the following announcement, received roughly 24 hours after we posted a message from family members of a LB resident who was considered by LBPD to be a "critical missing" person (their highest level of concern). We're not claiming credit for the good news, but are pleased to report it.

We are very pleased to announce...

As a result of an extremely cooperative effort by family and The Long Beach Police Department Missing Persons Unit, our missing family member was found and is in a care facility.

This five-day ordeal has taught us all a great deal about the task of finding a missing person. It has provided us with a new perspective of the "red-tape" and the obstacles that law enforcement and victims' families must overcome in order to find a missing loved one.

On behalf of myself and our family, I would like to offer a deep and sincere "thank you" to The Long Beach Police Department Missing Persons Unit and to the local media who posted our request for "help" and well-wishers, who gave us the encouragement to persevere.

THANK YOU!

Sincerely,
Lorenzo & Elisa Gigliotti & family
