(May 11, 2004) -- Roughly twenty-two hours before shots rang out in the area of 11th St. and Molino Ave., LBReport.com has learned (tipped by a reader) that a shooting occurred shortly after midnight on May 8 in the area of 10th and Molino Ave.
LBPD Public Information officer Greg Schirmer confirms that at approximately 12:14 a.m., officers responded to a shots fired call in the 1000 block of Molino Ave. and found the victim, a 26 year old LB resident on a bicycle, shot multiple times in the mid-torso.
Police believe the suspect walked up and fired several rounds, then got into a vehicle which drove off.
The victim is expected to survive.
Suspect information is sketchy as we post: a male, roughly 18 years old.
As previously reported by LBReport.com, shortly before 10:00 p.m. on May 8, shots were fired from a car at a group of 10-15 people near the corner of 11th St. and Molino Ave...and no one was hit.
As also previously reported by LBReport.com, on April 29, a shooting occurred in the area of 7th St. near Orizaba Ave, followed by a shooting on April 30 in the area of 7th St. and St. Louis Ave.
