Revealed At Vets Day Parade: Councilwoman Tonia Uranga Indicates Spouse/College Board Trustee Roberto Uranga Tried To Alert A Co-Grand Marshal To, Er...

(November 11, 2003) -- 7th district Councilwoman Tonia Reyes-Uranga drew some chuckles at the Nov. 11 City Council meeting when she indicated that her husband, Long Beach Community College Board of Trustee Roberto Uranga, was frantically trying to get the attention of one of the grand marshals during the Nov. 8 LB Veterans Day Parade.

The Urangas were in the parade a few car lengths behind the Grand Marshals: KTTV Fox11's "Good Day L.A." stars Steve Edwards, Dorothy Lucey and Jillian Barberie.

As previously reported by LBReport.com, a number of parade viewers could be heard cheering loudly as the Grand Marshals' classic Ford Fairlane passed by, perhaps impressed with its tail fins or other ornamentation displayed by Ms. Barberie.
