As previously reported by LBReport.com, the L.A. County D.A.'s office has filed murder charges against a 22 year-old Ventura County man accused of fatally stabbing 50-year-old Lynn Schockner during a robbery and a burglary at her home.
An alert neighbor had seen a man get out of a car in the alley shortly before the killing and called police, bringing officers to the scene. The officers contacted and alerted Ms. Shockner to the suspicious activity...and when she went back inside her home she is believed to have encountered the armed burglar.
Officers arrested the defendant as he fled the house; Ms. Shockner's body was found in her backyard.
