(November 20, 2006) -- LBPD Detectievs from its Adult Investigations Unit have arrested two LB residents after an ongoing investigation into an alleged elder scam...and is asking the public if it may know possible additional victims.
LBPD says in a release that it took Kenya Noel Mitchell, 27, and Tanesha Jackson, 23, into custody after a search warrant at suspect Jackson's residence and a probation search of suspect Mitchell's residence "allegedly uncovered numerous items purchased utilizing the victim’s personal information."
LBPD says suspect Mitchell was employed as a home health care provider, allegedly obtained information from at least two victims while working in their homes, shared it with suspect Jackson and allegedly opened several accounts without the victim’s permission.
LBPD says it's seeking the public’s assistance in locating possible additional victims. Anyone who may have used Kenya Mitchell’s services or believes they are a victim is asked to contact Detective Donald Goodman of LBPD's Adult Investigations Unit at (562) 570-7609.
