(Oct. 28, 2006) -- A drive-by homicide rocked the WLB area in the 1900 block of Fashion Ave. (west of 710/L.A. river, north of PCH, 1st Council district) on Saturday, October 28.
LBPD says its preliminary investigation indicates that at about 1:40 a.m., the victim -- a male Wilmington resident -- was standing with a friend in front of a residence when a dark colored vehicle drove up and the occupant(s) fired multiple rounds.
The victim was struck in the stomach; the suspect vehicle fled northbound; the victim was transported to a hospital where he died.
