News LBPD Detectives Stake-Out Repeatedly-Robbed NLB Business...And Observe Another Robbery In Progress! Detectives Chase Armed Suspect On Foot, Fire Shots & Apprehend Suspect; No Injuries
(Oct. 24, 2006) -- LBPD Detectives had staked out a business in the area of Cherry Ave. and Artesia Blvd., which had been victimized by robberies in the past, when they observed a robbery in progress [!] at the business shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Monday Oct. 23.
In a release, LBPD says the Detectives chased the suspect on foot...and the suspect ran into a neighborhood near the location and down an alley in an attempt to get away. LBPD's release says the "suspect is also believed to be involved with multiple armed robberies in the area. Detectives fired several shots at the suspect during the foot pursuit which resulted in the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of his weapon. Neither the suspect, an adult male from the city of Lynwood, nor the detectives were injured during the incident."
