by C. Miriam Yarden, B.Sc., MS, APDT

(Feb. 13, 2012) -- Editor's introduction: By now you may have heard about or seen the disturbing incident (video, click here) in which a dog rescued the day before from an icy lake in the Denver area was brought onto a morning TV news program and -- seemingly friendly and without growling or warning -- bit a TV news anchor in the face (on her lip).

In a video report below, LBReport.com's C. Miriam Yarden, B.Sc., MS, APDT, is an animal psychologist, behavior specialist and consultant with more than 35 years experience in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Ms. Yarden believes there are teachable moments and lessons to be learned from what happened.
